Foundations of the process
I feel a successful working alliance is built on a foundation of a good therapeutic relationship. I will work with you and try to build that relationship. I will do this by treating everything we talk about as confidential, being honest, genuine, respectful and non-judgemental. This will build trust between us and of the process, which will enable you to explore all aspects of self and self development; whether that is life goals, challenging ideas and beliefs, exploring options and your feelings and thoughts at your own pace and in a safe space.

Psychotherapeutic Coaching with me
Psychotherapeutic coaching with me integrates the in depth analysis of psychotherapy with the action, empowerment and focus of coaching to promote achievable, organic and sustainable personal growth.
Psychotherapy typically explores historical events; developmental deficits, conditioned responses and learned behaviours, familial dynamics, societal and cultural influences and expectations, which sometimes involves significant past traumas.

Coaching concentrates on setting goals and achieving results that improve, change or develop one’s future, in a positive, autonomous, problem solving and solution driven way. This combined approach is useful for all but is particularly beneficial to those who are highly functioning but seek deeper self-understanding to overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential.

Psychotherapeutic coaching can be used to challenge, develop, fine tune, polish, perfect or tailor almost any aspects of life.
Psychotherapy with me
Psychotherapy is a process used to explore and address challenging feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. It is a collaborative process designed to help people function better, enhance their well-being, and gain tools to cope with future challenges.

Psychotherapy with me is a structured process led by me but informed by your needs and experiences. We will work through psychological issues. The core components often include a nonjudgmental, trusting connection between the client and therapist that is essential for effective treatment. Therapy helps you uncover underlying motivations, patterns of thought, and past experiences that may be influencing your current problems. You will learn new strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, and solve problems in your daily life. The goal is to develop healthier behaviours and more accurate thought patterns, leading to lasting improvements in your life.
Counselling with me
Psychological distress can take many forms and have varying effects on our lives; identity, self-worth, anxiety, fear, sadness, depression, loss, relationships, family, friends, work, social life, parenting and day to day tasks can all be affected, in varying degrees. Having the opportunity to talk through your thoughts and feelings about your understanding of your experience in a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment with a professionally trained, highly skilled therapist can often be of benefit to an individual before, during or after those moments and that, in essence, is counselling.

I work with children, young people and adults from age 10 – 99+, I work with all types of people from all backgrounds. Working to enhance the client’s awareness of their feelings and enabling them to explore their thoughts to discover their own solutions for their distress, in whatever form that takes. I work to empower my clients to find their solution, working at a pace that suits the needs of each client and their unique experience of life. Whilst there may be similarities, each client’s life is a unique blend of many factors; development, family/ primary caregivers, society, culture, ethnicity, education, events and experience. This very personal interaction provides everyone with their own unconscious expectations and needs, from others and of themselves; feelings, thoughts, rights, wrongs, values, beliefs, understandings and ideas about who they are and the world around them. However, some times those needs and expectations can become problematic and cause psychological distress; a lack of understanding and questions, that can lead to thoughts and feelings of confusion, shame, fears, sadness, anger and doubt.
